Counter Sniper Tactics
Instructor: Sgt Major (ret) Mark Spicer is a 25 year veteran of the British Army with a worldwide reputation in the sphere of Sniping, which led to his selection and use as the US Governments Expert witness in the Washington DC Sniper trials. He has served worldwide with the British and UN forces on real world deployments, and has vast experience of counter terrorist operations.
As an instructor he has taught many of the world’s elite unit snipers and served as one of a small selected staff at the UK Sniper School. In 2002 he was also seconded to the French Foreign Legion, at their request, to help train their snipers during an operational deployment for the UN.
He has also qualified as a USMC sniper deployment officer and advanced sniper as well as a German Army Alpine sniper and since leaving the military has trained a middle east Royal Guard counter sniper unit, a Scandinavian sniper unit and several US Military and Law Enforcement unit snipers.
Mark is also the author of 3 successful books on the subject of sniping and continues to work on additional published articles and books. He is currently the Director of Training and co owner of Craft International LL. As well as being the lead instructor at the school, responsible for training units from both the USA and NATO, Mark is also the author and designer of all the company sniper and counter terrorist programs and courses.
Topics: Topics covered during this class include identifying the threat, knowing your enemy, counter sniper operations, counter sniper planning, deception methods and the power of deduction. This class will be presented in a classroom format and is recommended for observer/snipers, team leaders, command personnel and tactical personnel.
Class Size: Class size is limited to 60 students
